How to add a community or event to your profile

If you are already on Netch, you don't need a join link to be tagged to a community or event. You can add it yourself from your profile in a few taps.

How to add a community or event

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Tap Edit Profile.
    3. Scroll to the Communities & Events card.
    4. Tap the Communities dropdown (or the Events dropdown) and select it from the list.
    5. Scroll down and tap Update Profile to save.

That's it. You're tagged, the same as if you had clicked a join link.

Why you'd use this instead of a link

Someone running a community or event might share this route with you directly, or you might already know the name and want to add it without waiting for a link. Either way works: a join link and picking it from this dropdown both end up tagging you the same way.

How to match with others in the same community or event

Adding a community or event to your profile doesn't match you with anyone by itself. You still need to set it as a filter on Discover:

    1. Open Discover.
    2. Tap Filters at the top of the screen.
    3. Scroll to the Community field (or the Event field).
    4. Select the same community or event from the list.
    5. Tap Apply Filters.

Discover now shows only people tagged to that same community or event, so you can start matching and connecting with them directly.

See How to find other event attendees on Discover for more on combining this filter with others.

You can add more than one community or event at a time, and remove one later the same way: uncheck it in the dropdown and tap Update Profile.
