How to archive a chat or mark a meeting as done

Use Archive chat when the conversation is over. Use Mark as done when the meeting has happened and you want to close the loop on that meeting.

    What each action does

    Archive chat

Archiving moves the chat out of your active view.

    Use it when:

    • The conversation has ended.
    • You do not need to follow up in that thread.
    • You want to keep your active chats focused on open conversations.

    Mark as done

Marking a meeting as done closes the meeting item from the chat interface.

    Use it when:

    • The meeting already took place.
    • You want to record that the meeting is complete.
    • You still want the chat history in place if you need it later.

    When to use each one

Use Archive chat for finished conversations.

Use Mark as done for completed meetings that came from a chat.

If you had a good conversation and there is nothing else to do, archive the chat.

If you set up a meeting in chat and the meeting happened, mark it as done.

    What these actions help organize

Both actions keep your workspace cleaner.

    • Archive chat reduces clutter in your active inbox.
    • Mark as done helps you track which meetings are complete.
    • Both make it easier to focus on open conversations and pending follow-ups.

    Decision guide

    Ask one question:

Did the chat lead to a meeting, or did the conversation simply end?

    • If the chat led to a meeting and the meeting happened, choose Mark as done.
    • If the conversation is finished and you do not need to act on it again, choose Archive chat.

If you are unsure, keep the item active until you are done with it.
