Who can see your LinkedIn profile (and when)
LinkedIn is one of the 8 mandatory Basics fields on your Netch profile. If you add it, your profile URL becomes visible to other members in specific contexts. Here's exactly where it shows up and why it matters.
Where your LinkedIn appears
Your LinkedIn link is shown in two places.
Full profile view from Discover. When someone taps the eye icon on your card in the Discover feed, they see your full profile. Your LinkedIn link is shown there if you've added it.
Match profile view in Chat. Once you match with someone, they can view your full profile from the chat thread. Your LinkedIn link is visible there too.
Your LinkedIn link is never shown on the small profile card in the Discover feed. It only appears when someone opens your full profile.
Why it matters
SaaS professionals often check LinkedIn before agreeing to a call. A visible profile link removes friction. It lets a match verify who you are, confirm your background, and feel confident about booking time with you.
Trust is the gap between a match and a scheduled call. LinkedIn helps close it.
Privacy
Your LinkedIn link is only as public as your Netch profile. If someone can view your profile on Netch, they can see the link. Netch does not share your LinkedIn with anyone outside the platform.
How to add your LinkedIn
- Go to Settings > Profile.
- Scroll to the Your Profile section.
- Find the LinkedIn field.
- Paste your full profile URL (e.g.,
linkedin.com/in/yourname). - Hit Update Profile.
The link will be visible on your profile immediately after saving.
