How to filter by city or country

Use location filters in Discover to narrow the profile cards you see. This helps you find people in a specific area or widen the pool when you want more options.

Where location filters appear

Open Discover to see profile cards. At the top of the feed, you can filter by:

• Role
• Industry
• Sector
• Tools
• Skills
• City
• Country

Use City and Country when location matters for meetings, events, or local networking.

City vs. country

City

Use City when you want people in one specific place, such as Milan, London, or Berlin. This is the narrowest location filter.

Country

Use Country when you want people anywhere in a country. This gives you a wider set of cards than City.

If you are planning local meetings, start with City. If the feed feels too small, move up to Country.

Why some people may not appear

Location filters only work well when profiles are complete.

If someone has not filled in City or Country in Settings > Profile, they may not appear in location-based results. The same applies if the location they entered does not match the filter you selected.

Discover also depends on completed Basics. Until all Basics are complete:

• filters stay disabled
• swipe activity is not recorded

If Discover still looks limited, check the Basics section first.

How to use location filters well

Narrow your search

Use a specific City when you want:

• people close enough to meet in person
• members in the same local market
• attendees around an event location

Widen your search

Use Country when you want:

• more profile cards
• a broader networking pool
• a backup search when one city has too few results

Combine filters

Location filters work best with other filters. For example:

• City + Role for a local peer group
• Country + Industry for a larger but still relevant set
• Country + Skills when you want expertise across a whole market

If the feed feels too narrow, remove one filter at a time. Start with City or Country, then add one other filter back.

Check your profile fields

Go to Settings > Profile and confirm that City and Country are filled in.

If you want to appear in more location searches:

• add a clear City
• keep Country accurate
• complete all Basics so Discover is fully unlocked
