Using Netch at a third-party event

If you are attending a SaaS conference or event that is not hosted by Netch, you can still use Netch to find other attendees, as long as the event organizer has set up a Netch join link.

When the organizer shares the join link with all attendees, everyone who clicks it gets tagged to the event in Netch. From there, you can filter Discover to see exactly who else is going and start conversations before the event starts.

How to find out if the event is on Netch

Check your event confirmation email or the event's communication channel. If the organizer has set up a Netch join link, they will share it there.

If you do not see a link, the event may not be on Netch yet. You can suggest it to the organizer: they can contact info@netch.pro to get set up.

    Joining via the event link

Click the join link from the organizer. Log in or create a Netch account.

After joining, you are redirected to Discover. Apply the Event filter to see other attendees.

For a full walkthrough, see "What happens when you join via an event link."

    Using Discover before the event

Apply the Event filter in Discover to browse profiles of other attendees.

You can combine it with other filters to find the most relevant people:

    • Event + Location: useful for finding people in the same city, especially for large multi-day conferences
    • Event + Role: useful if you want to meet people in a specific function
    • Event + Industry or Sector: useful for sector-specific conferences

Swipe right on people you want to meet. When both of you swipe right, you match and get an automatic intro message in Chat with both calendar links.

Reaching out before the event starts

A short message sent a few days before the event works much better than trying to connect on the day.

Reference the event in your first message and give one specific reason you wanted to reach out:

"Saw we are both going to the conference next week. Your background in product-led growth looks relevant to what I am working on, would be glad to connect."

Keep it short. You are not trying to close a deal in one message.

    After the event

Continue conversations in Chat after the conference ends.

Follow up fast: the same day or the next morning, while the context is still fresh. For more on this, see "After the event: how to keep the relationship going."
