Netch community guidelines
Netch is for one-to-one professional conversations between SaaS people.
Use it with clear intent, respect, and follow-through.
What good behavior looks like
The strongest interactions on Netch usually have the same pattern:
- A complete profile
- A clear reason to connect
- A short first message with context
- Respect for the other person's time
- A real follow-up after the call or event
Keep messages specific. Show why you reached out. If you book time, show up.
What is not OK here
Some behaviors break trust fast.
Avoid these:
- Copy-paste outreach
- Immediate selling after a match
- Misleading profile details
- Aggressive or disrespectful messages
- No-shows without notice
- Repeated last-minute cancellations
- Multiple accounts
- Automation, scraping, or bot activity
If your main goal is volume outreach, Netch is the wrong channel.
How to keep conversations high-signal
Use the information on someone's profile before you message them.
Good starting points:
- A shared event
- A similar role
- A tool or workflow you both use
- A goal that overlaps with yours
One clear question is enough. Long pitches are usually a bad start.
For examples, see "Ice breaker ideas that actually work in Netch chat" and "What to say when you match with someone (templates)".
Meetings count too
Netch includes calendar links in the automatic intro message after a match.
That makes it easy to book time. It also raises the bar. If you book a call, treat it like a real meeting.
Good practice:
- Accept only if you intend to follow through
- Cancel early if plans change
- Send a short note if you will be late
- Mark the meeting as done when it is done
If something goes wrong
Report behavior that crosses the line.
That includes:
- Spam or selling
- Disrespectful conduct
- No-shows
- Misrepresentation
When you report something, include enough context for review.
